Ruby Red Valentine Cocktail
I know valentines day is a big day for restaurants but I would much rather stay in and celebrate at home. Over the week I will post my ideas for a great Valentines Day meal. You know I love wine but I also love a good cocktail and my Ruby Red Valentine Cocktail is the perfect starter to a romantic Valentine evening!
For affordable festive decor like these wine charms and swizzle sticks (I cut the long swizzle sticks in 1/2 to form a pick for this cocktail) as well as the heart, head to Target. I found all of these in the $3 section at the front of the store.
Ruby Red Valentine Cocktail

Serves 1
Ingredients
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 1 ounce cointreau
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 2 ounces ruby red grapefruit juice
- ice
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake until cold, strain and serve up.
Notes
- Another way to serve this cocktail is to mix ingredients in a tall glass filled with ice and top with citrus flavored sparkling water!
