Santa’s Little Helper
We all know the holidays are full of overeating and over indulging. I’m the first to admit that I over do it throughout the month of December. That is why every year I seem to do a dry January, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
This is the time of year for great cocktails to warm you and your friends up on these cold December evenings. Over the years I have created many different cocktails I seem to go back to year after year. Below you will find the links to each of these great cocktails.
Now just because we are over indulging within reason doesn’t mean we need to feel crappy. The holidays are supposed to be a joyous time so we don’t want a hangover dampening our Christmas cheer. As you know mostly I live a healthy life, I go to the gym, I run and I eat healthy. Alcohol is one of the only ‘unhealthy’ vices I have, and when you have a glass or two to many it’s easy to reach for the ibuprofen to prevent a headache the next morning. The thing is ibuprofen is not that great for our bodies and shouldn’t be used regularly.
That is why I was so excited to receive samples of DrinkAde! This natural product contains a blend of natural vitamins, amino acids, nutrients and minerals that will have you jump out of bed the morning after a few to many holiday libations. DrinkAde supports your body in neutralizing toxins and restores nutrients and helps rehydrate your body.
I received sample of both the DrinkAde Prevention and Boost and gave them both a try. First I tried Prevention, before my first glass of wine the other night I downed one of the little bottles and then had 3 glasses of wine throughout the evening. I went to bed and took no ibuprofen. In the morning I woke with no fogginess and felt great.
The second sample is the Boost, which contains natural caffeine, and double the B-12. So the second night I had a glass of champagne and a martini, this combo would typically have me foggy in the morning. Since each bottle says; Take Before/While or day after celebrating I thought I would try Boost in the morning thinking the extra caffeine would help start my day. When I woke up I had my normal glass of water and then downed a bottle of the Boost, and in a short amount of time I was feeling great, I’m sold!
Prevention and Boost are sugar free, gluten free, and contain only five calories per serving. The flavors are Limade and Berry, both flavors reminded me of the kid drinks we had back in the late 80’s Squeezit’s, not the best but not terrible, and the 3.4 ounce amount is easy to take.
This holiday season doesn’t need to make you feel foggy or hung-over, try DrinkAde. You can find DrinkAde at GNC or on their website.
Leave a bottle of DrinkAde for Santa this year along with a shot of Bourbon (no need for milk) and cookies!
Have a Drinkade and then enjoy one of my delicious holiday cocktails.
