Serves 1
Ingredients
- 1/8 teaspoon gold sugar*
- gold edible star décor*
- 2 drops blood orange bitters
- ¼ ounce triple sec
- lemon
- champagne
Instructions
- Rim a champagne flute with the lemon and then dip the glass into a bowl with the gold stars, this will rim the glass with the stars for a special Oscars look.
- In each glass, add the triple sec and bitters, top with champagne and then add 1/8 teaspoon gold sugar to the glass. The bubbles in the champagne will cause the gold sugar to float through the cocktail for an extra fancy look.
Notes
- *Gold sugar can be found in some grocery stores or cake supply stores and craft stores. I found mine at JoAnn Fabrics here in Seattle, in the cake supply section Gold sugar is made to use as a garnish on cakes, but works perfectly in this cocktail. The gold stars can be found in this same section.
